Channing & Watt Publishers was founded in 1995, by Dr. Lydia A. Woods, for the purpose of publishing books with themes that promote the tenets of Christianity. Located in Peoria, Arizona our company assists Christian writers through the publishing process.

CWP’s mission is to make the Christian message more widely known.

Dr. Lydia A. Woods, Founder & CEO

Dr. Lydia A. Woods is a theologian of Biblical studies, an ordained minister, inspirational speaker, author, chaplain, retired college professor, and a USATF Masters track & field athlete.

In 1991, Woods earned her Doctorate in Kinesiology (the study of human movement) and Sports Studies from the University of Georgia. She further earned a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Arts in Christian Education, from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2012. Dr. Woods then completed a Chaplain Internship at Emory University Hospital in 2013.

Currently, Dr. Woods is the founder and CEO of Drum Arizona, Inc. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization provides Phoenix-area communities with the experience of African Djembe and Native American-style drumming. Her organization gives away African and Native-style drums to children who have experienced homelessness, hospitalization, and foster care. Since 2016, Drum Arizona has given away over 500 drums.
