The Perfect Murder
The perfect murder, I plot at night,
My enemy to put permanently out of sight!
It has ruined my life, so it must go,
I’m talking about my Will – you know.
I’ve tried to kill it many times before,
I’ve kicked it to the curb and out the door.
It won’t stay dead or get in line.
But maybe it Will stay dead this time!
‘Cause this time, I’m giving it up to the One,
Whose dealt with Will since times begun.
Since killing it is not the way,
I’ll give it to God each and every day.
It’s not killing that He has in mind,
But little adjustments made over time.
He’s slowly lining it up with His own will,
‘Cause a Will is something you just can’t kill!
